Vision corrected

A trudge of hopelessness, loss and pain mark the Emmaus road with every step.  Silence and mystery loom in the air.  Problematic questions void of answers crowd the conversation.  Cleopas and his traveling companion are in a whirlwind of loss.  Blinded by the horrific events of Friday, Jesus interrupts their conversation incognito.  Sight has been altered by hardship.  The brilliant Messiah lectures as a detailed historian.  He takes them on a journey from the laws to the prophets.  In a flash they find themselves passing the bread, He breaks it, eyes open, Jesus gone.  A minute with Jesus and a moment of worship will correct impaired vision.  What is your vision of Jesus?  A trudge to Emmaus quickly turned into a sprint to Jerusalem!  Check out Luke 24.

Verse of the Day(s)

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.”- 1 John 4:16
“Throw us in jail and we will still love you. Bomb our houses and threaten our children and we will still love you. Beat us and leave us half dead, and we will still love you. But be ye assured that we will wear you down by our capacity to suffer. One day we shall so appeal to your heart and conscience that we shall win you in the process, and our victory will be a double victory.” -Dr. King-
