Happy mom’s day
Happy Birthday Kirsten xoxo

Few words before school
What’s wrong with this picture?
Allow me to overstate the obvious! Each week, nearly 60,000 children in the United States are reported as abused or neglected, with nearly 900,000 confirmed abuse victims in 2004. Approximately 800,000 children every year come in contact with the foster care system. We have a wide spread epidemic in our nation! Children are being neglected and abused in record number while folks are out in the woods crying and screaming over foliage. Maybe I’m missing something.
Bring on the bat poop!
If you think about me say a little prayer. Some of our faithful Capital Intern fellas are joining me in an adventure involving, mice, bats, poop, spiders and water that taste like rust. All in all it should be a fun lil story.
never question a drunk
Sorry for the delay in the highlights of our top “homegrown” athletes. It’s been a little difficult getting the photos and video needed for a write up. In the meantime, enjoy this humorous and mean email I received the other day…
I was shopping at the local supermarket where I selected:
1/2 Gallon of Milk
Dozen Eggs
Quart of Orange Juice
Head of Lettuce
2 Lb. Can of Coffee
1 Lb. Package of Bacon
As I was unloading my items on the conveyor belt to check out, an obviously
drunk man was standing behind me watching as I placed the items in front of
the cashier. While the cashier was ringing up the purchases, the drunk
calmly stated, “You must be single.”
I was a bit startled by this proclamation, but I was intrigued by the
derelicts intuition, since I was indeed single. I looked at the six items
on the belt and saw nothing particularly unusual about my selections
that could have tipped off the drunk to my marital status.
Curiosity getting the better of me, I said, “Well, you know what? You’re
absolutely right. But how on earth did you know that?”
The drunk replied, “Cause you’re ugly.”
vroom vroom…
What’s that I don’t hear?
My wife, my daughter and her friend are heading out of town for the weekend. That leaves my boy and I to fend for ourselves. I think the time apart will be well needed and worth while. Let me rephrase…I think the separation between my little girl and boy will be worth while! Not you babe! My heart began to hurt the moment you left the drive way! Over the last week my children began communicating with one another by screams, yells and occasional body contact. It’s amazing how quiet my house has become in a matter of hours. Right now I’m listening to my heart beat. Also, the sound of silence is deafening. This is amazing!
